A boy, who was having his 10th birthday, was asked by his parents what he would like for his party. Chance could not decide. He told his parents he really did not want presents. Their question was, "then what should we tell your friends to bring?" Chance was firm that he did not need any new toys. When his father suggested his friends bring donations for the animals, Chance did not hesitate. His friends brought money donations to the party and Chance, with his mom's help, sent it all to the animals to a small, all volunteer run organization in Southeaster Arizona.
With one small act of kindness from one small person, many will benefit. And I don't mean just the animals. The kids who attended that party have had a small look at what they, too, can do to make a difference in their community.
Happy Birthday Chance. You have a great heart.
